The globally-mobile family
The Challenge – A Jakarta-based family maintaining a secondary residence in Tokyo required a strategic educational solution during their annual two-month stay in Japan. The objective was to maintain rigorous momentum in mathematics, reading, and writing, ensuring a seamless transition between their time in Tokyo and the student’s return to school in Indonesia.
Our Solution – Tokyo Learning Lab created a customized learning program for the child. With nine hours of weekly in-home, personalized instruction by Matt, using the same curriculum that the student was using in school, the student was successfully able to continue his academic progress during his family’s time in Tokyo.
A summer in Tokyo
The Challenge – A family from Hong Kong with three children decided to spend six weeks in Tokyo during the summer and wanted to ensure that their children were academically engaged during the school holiday and prepared for the next school year.
Our Solution – Matt developed targeted learning programs for each child, delivered through five hours of weekly instruction. The curriculum ensured that they were prepared for the upcoming school year by targeting core content from the first semester and allowing them to immediately access advanced topics upon their return to school.
